I don't believe in the alternate universe theory, and have no real explanation for why I remember it so clearly, and yet so differently. One of the f's was on a yellow background. The text was lowercase, with a dot over the j. They later changed it to be uniform, like the Jif logo. The logo was colored panels, like Jif, but the blocks weren't uniform in the earliest format I can remember. I didn't confuse it with Skippy, or some other food product. I didn't hear the "choosy moms" slogan until I was almost a teenager. Jiffy Peanut Butter had a similar logo, as far as I remember, to Jif.

The Mandela Effect is a group of people realizing they remember something differently than is generally known to be fact - the most famous example of this would be the Berenstain/Berenstein bears.
